Supporting Disadvantaged and Vulnerable People to access the Arts!

February 28th 2019

We can no longer offer FREE band practice for bands to rehearse in the basement of an evening.

We need to bring in funds to keep us going so a charge will be made for musicians who want to hire the basement.

Please contact Sam Norfolk

(email: or Tel 01284 760760)

to arrange rehearsal times and to pay fee's.

We ask that the music area is kept clean and tidy and no obstructions are left in the way of the walk through once finished.

Teas and Coffees are free of charge.

You will be aware we have invested in new instruments and equipment and are looking to improve further.

The Tuesday drop in hasn't been successful and projects we wanted to put on haven't attracted interest. This means we'll be looking at using the basement for other groups.

The music jam on Saturdays is the most succssful drop in we have, followed by Thursdays, so they will continue.

We will still be open on Tuesdays until something else takes its place.

25th February 2019

We are pleased to announce that we have added a mandolin, electro ukelele, banjo, left handed guitars, fretless bass and other instruments to our bank of instruments for our Saturday Drop In people to enjoy. This is along side a refurbished drum kit and an up to date PA system. We hope for these to be enjoyed for years to come.

1st November 2018

Unfortunately only a handful of people were interested in coming  om board with our Drama project. So it's been postponed.

26th July 2018

We have in the pipe line a large project involving music, drama and art. It will tell the story of somebodys journey through addiction and mental health issues ending in recovery.

It will be told in music, poems and the spoken word. The story will be made up from your experiences. It will be hard hitting, disturbing but rewarding. We are trying to break down the stigma, society have in recognising vulnerable people that have an illness they don't understand. If you'd like to be part of this project either as musician, singer, actor, artist or just to tell your story, please get in touch.

You are welcome to perform your compositions or if rather not someone can do it for you. We would like to hear about your journeys  so we can start to work out the direction of the project. If you want to remain anonomous that's fine.

Three future workshops are planned involving poetry, creative writing and songwriting. This is to help people who are not sure whether they can create anything in an art form but will be open to people who can compose and write.

This is subject to funding of course but the more people we have on board the more likely we'll be successful in raising the money.
